On that day, I am in travel with the tiredness. Because of long journey and I sat in a seat before Front footboard of the bus. I am always sitting an outside corner of the seat but at that time sitting window side. One kindness human came with an old man. He dropped that old man nearby me. I think that old man’s age was more than 65 years. The old man thanks him to that person with gratitude “Thank you!! Sir..!!”.
I am always ready to speak with elder people’s especially old man. He looks like a poor but I amazed because he spoke a English word with a perfect pronunciation. I am really excited to know who is he??. His leg was injured he feel uncomfortable to sat in corner of the seat. I ask him sir, if you don’t mind come and sit here. He accepts my obligation and sat in window side. “Sir, Are you Okay”. He said Yeah.
He started a conversation about a bus route which is easy to reach a Pondicherry. We are talk about bus route and road conditions. On that right time conductor came nearby me and asks money for ticket I got my ticket. The old man shows his ID card for a travel. I think he was retired driver. I ask him “Sir, Did you work as a driver?” He replied to me yeah I worked as a driver for more than 15 years. Conversation was good till that moment.
He initiates his history… he was only son of his father his name oh..! I forgot it. But he told his name in Muslim name. His father wants him to become a doctor but his father died. So he can’t study in medical college. He studied B.A. English in Chennai Christian College and he started his career as a driver.
He had six child three sons and three daughters. When his wife died the six peoples say “get out” so he came out from his house. From that day he started his journey over the Tamil Nadu with free pass. He said “I can’t sit over a long time journey while coming From Chennai to trichy. But there is no option for me. He speaks every word at the end with “Sir”. He gives more respect to everyone but his children throughout him.
On the busy conversation he told one master word that “Don’t throughout your parents for any reason, if they not happy you won’t happy”. Please hold your parents till the life end of them. At the end of the journey I hold his hand and take his bag from bus to bus stand. He says thanks to me from bottom of his heart and he offers me a coffee. I said no thanks sir and take care.
I know your feelings why is he titled a name as a “Boomerang”. Wait I will explain it. In all language proverb says if we sow, we will reap. In my mother tongue”Murpagal seyyin pirpagal Vilayum” which means by what will we give today we will get the result tomorrow with depends upon yesterday. Like a boomerang through any direction it will come back with same force.
Take care of your parents like a child today….!!
Your child will take care tomorrow.!!
